Necklaces made from linked bead sections

Chain linked styles are built up from beads joined together in a daisy chain arrangement. For more details on how to do this, see the related article, Chain linking.

To give you an idea of  how powerful and versatile this style is, we have included some examples here. The style is either made up from links of a similar size, whether they be large beads or small ones, top left. Or you can alternate large and small bead links, see main picture. Thia could also allow you to make a tapering style, with gradually smaller links out from the centre. Designs using this technique also works very well for bracelets, see the related article, Bracelet styles.

It can get quite expensive in time and beads making links going all the way around, so it's a good idea to have a central section made with links, and then finish with chain or cord, see bottom left..
